Stefan Cordiner
Stefan has spent the majority of his time outside his native Australia,
living in Japan, Nigeria, the UK and now the Czech Republic. This
has given him a unique sense of cultural understanding and business
ethics. Stefan began his full-time career with Radisson Hotels (which
later changed hands to Hajuku Hotels) while simultaneously studying
full-time for his Bachelor degree in Hospitality Management. During
his time at the hotel, Stefan's keen business sense and strong leadership
skills helped him rise through the ranks and become the youngest
manager on the team at their heritage-listed restaurant. Upon graduating
from university with distinctions in Marketing, he left Australia
to spend a year travelling throughout Europe.
Following his travels, Stefan moved to London, where he became
Bar Manager of a bar in Soho. Six months later, circumstances led
Stefan to join a small group of high-end bars and restaurants operating
in the South Kensington area. Within six months of joining the group,
he moved up to take on the position of Operations Manager and was
involved in designing and executing a complete restructuring of
the failing business. Within 12 months of assuming effective management
control of the company, sales had improved nearly 135 percent, and
the company was once again trading profitably with gross margins
of 79 percent and pre-tax profits of over 20 percent. Despite being
offered part ownership of the business as an incentive to stay,
Stefan chose to leave the company and travel through South East
Asia and Australia with his (then) fiancée. He has since gotten
married and moved to Prague.
Stefan is now undertaking the next big challenge, heading up Myall
Consulting's office in the Czech Republic, where he puts
his business acumen to work helping companies thrive in that rapidly
growing market.
